Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate is considered by some to be a superior form of the amino acid L-Arginine. L-Arginine is a source of “fuel” for nitric oxide (NO) production. NO is a type of signaling molecule that triggers the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels to relax. In turn, the blood vessels dilate. This is called vasodilation. It is believed that vasodilation supports optimal blood flow to and from tissues. This promotes nutrient flow to working muscles and efficient transport of exercise waste out of tissues.
